Family Camp 2010 |
|
Bishop Roller served 17 years as missionary to Mexico and 10 years as Latin American Director for World Missions. In July of 2007 he was appointed Bishop of the Free Methodist Church where he oversees 11 conferences in the northeast, as well as the United Kingdom and 5 conferences in Latin America. His experience as a missionary has convinced him that “all Christians should adopt the posture and mindset of a missionary, understanding the culture where they minister, relinquishing their own preferences and privileges in their desire to see people’s key allegiances transferred from “whatever” to Jesus.”

This summer, join the hundreds who come every year to enjoy ten full days of multi-generational camping ministry...served up “family” style. With a balance of age-level scheduled teaching, fellowship, and recreational activities throughout each day, and evening Praise and Worship services that will inspire and challenge us all, you owe it to yourself and to your family to make these days a priority on your summer calendar. |

Relevant Worship |

We are pleased to welcome the Buffalo, N.Y. modern music band “Relevant Worship” to Pleasantville campgrounds. They will be giving a free-will offering concert on the first Saturday evening of camp at 7:00 p.m.. Born and called to minister to their hometown Buffalo, N.Y. and the surrounding area, the band has a heart for worship in modern music sound, and faith in action. "Relevant's vision is that the Spirit of God and revival would take over the church; that we would carry Jesus' message of life, hope and forgiveness to a city that has been told for years that it is dead, hopeless and forgotten," Poulsen says. Relevant Worship conducts prayer walks each Friday in Buffalo's downtown "party district." The band takes time to pray with both the homeless and the shameless. Moreover, the group embarks upon regular city outreach and community service endeavors, many of which end up in pizza parlors with the band sharing the Gospel - and a slice - with perfect strangers. |
